  1. Intelligent ETL vendor Adeptia appointed three senior executives: Tim Bond as Chief Product Officer, Jill
    Ransome VP of Marketing, and John Moore VP of Revenue Operations. CEO Charles Nardi stated the new 
    leadership team will help enterprises convert disjointed data into AI-ready trusted information to fuel automation, operational intelligence and business expansion. Ransome oversees global marketing strategy;Bond leads AI-native platform product innovation; Moore drives go-to-market scaling and customer revenue growth.

  2. Source connector provider Airbyte rolled out v2.1, delivering improved scalability, deployment flexibility, governance, observability and operational reliability to support complex AI data pipelines. Key upgrades cover enterprise-grade performance, expanded governance controls, self-managed deployment, production pipeline stability, compatibility with modern AI/analytics stacks, and enhanced sync for structured & unstructured sources. Positioned as the operational data movement layer for AI infrastructure, Airbyte 2.1 connects trusted operational data to cloud platforms, vector databases, LLMs and AI agents.

  3. AMD acquired MEXT, developer of AI-powered memory optimization software MEXT Predictive Memory. The tool lets flash storage function like DRAM: it offloads infrequently used memory pages to flash (50× lower cost) and leverages AI to pre-fetch required data back to DRAM before app requests. It either cuts DRAM deployment costs drastically without performance loss or delivers 2–4× larger effective memory capacity for memory-heavy AI workloads.

  4. Data orchestration firm Arcitecta promoted software engineer Ewen Smith to Managing Director of Arcitecta Europe and hired Nina Mangold from GRAU DATA as European Channel Sales Manager. Smith leads European business growth; Mangold brings 18 years of data archiving experience, focusing on research institutions and GLAM clients (galleries, libraries, archives, museums). Arcitecta, GRAU DATA and COMBACK will demonstrate an integrated end-to-end data intelligence and archiving system at ISC 2026, unifying active data management and metadata-driven archiving in one scalable architecture.

  5. Data trust firm Ataccama released native Databricks integration via its MCP Trust Layer. It imports data quality, lineage and governance metrics from SAP, Oracle and mainframe systems into Databricks pipelines and AI tools, enabling AI development on verified data. The integration is live on the Databricks Marketplace.

  6. Cirata signed a revised OEM agreement with IBM. Its data orchestration platform Cirata Symphony will be rebranded Cirata Symphony for IBM Big Replicate and sold via IBM’s client network, offering a unified control plane for petabyte-scale data movement and management.

  7. Startup Clario exited stealth mode with $6M seed funding, building software to eliminate redundant, obsolete and trivial (ROT) unstructured enterprise data. Industry stats show 78% of corporate storage holds unstructured data, with over one-third classified as useless clutter. Clario connects directly to cloud drives and collaboration platforms to scan metadata and flag junk files, triggering Slack/Teams workflows for data retention, archiving or deletion requests — the firm only charges after users finalize decisions, and its system autonomously learns to automate ongoing data cleanup.

  8. Catalogic’s CloudCasa launched CloudCasa DR for Kubernetes, powered by HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000. The enterprise disaster recovery solution supports Kubernetes apps and KubeVirt VMs across hybrid HPE environments, using native storage replication for near-zero data loss and fast recovery. It works with OpenShift, SUSE Rancher and other Kubernetes distributions, with HPE storage systems available as backup targets.

  9. Confluent’s 2026 Data Streaming Report found 72% of global IT leaders cite insufficient real-time data infrastructure as a major roadblock to scaling AI projects.

HPE Data Fabric Software extended MCP support to Apache Airflow and added enterprise AI inventory tools, with a dedicated appliance based on HPE ProLiant servers for simplified deployment.

  12. Lexar unveiled its compact mSSD (micro Solid State Drive) standard to replace traditional M.2 2280 SSDs. Its debut Play X SSD runs PCIe Gen 4, hitting 7,400 MB/s read and 6,500 MB/s write speeds at half the size of standard drives, with an M.2 2280 adapter available. The unified controller-NAND-PMIC module boosts stability and enterprise scalability for servers and AI hardware, while integrated design improves dust, moisture and shock resistance with built-in data protection.

  13. Memory chip vendor Netlist filed new lawsuits against Samsung at the U.S. ITC and Texas Eastern District Court, alleging infringement of two U.S. patents covering Samsung’s HBM and DDR5 RDIMM/MRDIMM products.   19. ETH Zurich’s Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) presented two papers at the 2026 Cray User Group conference in Nice highlighting VAST Data’s HPC/AI infrastructure value.
